The Challenge
Nothing conveys a message better than video. So when Bristol Airport explained the troubles they were having in preparing passengers for airport security, we knew an explainer animation would be the perfect solution.
We needed something short, punchy and clear, that would tell passengers exactly what they needed to do as they approach airport security - and how to get through as quickly as possible.
Our Approach
To kick the process off, we storyboarded how we envisioned the explainer animation would unfold step by step. This included both visuals and any instructional wording that would appear in the video.
Once given the go-ahead, our team of artworkers and motion graphics designers got to work on production.
The Detail
Once we’d planned out all sequences, we then got to work on creating the content in Cinema 4D and After Effects. For us, clean and bold imagery, combined with short instructive messaging was vital given the pace that passengers travel through the space.
The Results
The new security animation is now helping to streamline the bottleneck that has previously been an issue at Bristol Airport’s security zone. Passengers are now informed of how to prepare themselves before they get to security, with the animation playing on a digital display for all to see as they make their way through the terminal.
The video can also be repurposed for use across social media and the airport’s website to help better inform passengers prior to their travels.
