The Challenge
Centred all around their latest innovative technologies and local culture, the Samsung KX showcase in London is a new kind of experience space where you can #DoWhatYouCant.
Based at London Kings Cross, guests of the experience centre can attend events and workshops as well as immerse themselves in Samsung-powered technologies - including their digital cockpit, a seamlessly connected driving experience and their 10-metre wide virtual galaxy graffiti screen, among other things.
We were tasked to create a show-stopping piece of video content to play on loop on the centre’s large format LED - The Wall.

Our Approach
We kicked off the project with storyboarding the complete sequence, planning out each of the frames and how to best showcase the clarity and visual richness of the LED.
We knew we wanted to create the illusion of the wall coming to life, and to take viewers on a journey through a series of visually captivating scenes - all while keeping with the centre’s theme of local culture.
Once planned, there were a number of different aspects needing to come together for the final delivery. We had musicians to film, green screen studios to book, 3D octopuses to build and water simulations to bake - to just name a few.
The Detail
The final video edit is instantly captivating with features from musicians and dancers through to sea life and space. The mix of content types built into the video loop required a lot of different techniques and programs to be used, as well as the casting of performers, the video production (both standard and green screen) and everything in between. Showcasing the display in its full glory was a big focus for us, so we implemented 3D, simulation, motion graphics and visual effects to really show off the LED. The ever-changing, high resolution video is created at 4K and 60 frames per second, giving it a real smoothness specifically in larger format.
The Results
As a huge focal point, the whole display with this immersive video content playing on loop complements the space massively, and powerfully showcases the display to potential buyers. It’s a project we were overjoyed to be involved in, so if you haven’t already, add Samsung’s KX on your list of places to visit.
